RISE Mzansi gathered at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange to expose the prevalence of cash-for-jobs and sex-for-jobs schemes, particularly affecting jobseekers in retail, mining, and local public sectors. Led by National Leader Songezo Zibi and other key members, the movement highlighted how vulnerable jobseekers are coerced into paying with money or their bodies for employment opportunities, often with no legal recourse. RISE Mzansi called upon JSE-listed companies and public sector bodies to acknowledge and eliminate these corrupt practices. Urgent legislation is needed to protect jobseekers and embed ethical standards within corporate and governmental culture.
