Remarks

RISE Mzansi's National Leader, Songezo Zibi, addressed the dire state of South Africa's water crisis during an inspection of the failed R4.5-billion Giyani Bulk Water Project. Joined by RISE Mzansi Limpopo Provincial Convenor, Phethani Madzivhandila, and others, Zibi highlighted the urgent need for action to avert further economic and humanitarian damage.

The failure to deliver promised water infrastructure has left many in Limpopo, and across South Africa, without access to clean drinking water, forcing communities to share water with livestock. Zibi criticized the ANC government for neglecting its duty to provide essential services, pointing out that decades of misgovernance and corruption have pushed infrastructure to the brink of collapse.

Highlighting RISE Mzansi's commitment to change, Zibi outlined a comprehensive plan to reform governance, repair and extend water systems, and promote responsible water use. He urged South Africans to vote for RISE Mzansi in the upcoming elections to secure a future with reliable water and sanitation services.
